About the Author
How would you like to actually jump into the Bible and come face to face with some of the greatest biblical characters of all time? Here’s your chance to learn firsthand about God and His teachings in a delicately spiritual way!
Meet Percy Porcupine, a bored and lonely creature who is in desperate need of some excitement in his humdrum life, and Missy Mouse, an energetic little rodent who thrives on adventure. These two characters, along with others you will meet, will take you back in time to the Bible days of old when life as we know it was somewhat different. Journey back with them as you “jump” into H. Erin Nelson’s exciting and educational Bibletoons series!
Although each book teaches children about God and His word, there are also specific lessons to learn.
Book One specifies how important it is to always share God’s Word with others and to lead by example. It also emphasizes that schoolwork can be fun!
Book Two educates children about acts of kindness and helping others. It introduces them to Jesus, the newborn King, and His miracles.
Book Three centers on bullying and teaches how to handle someone who is mean to you through God’s grace. It also shows bullies the path to Jesus with a new character named Thorn and how Percy’s situation with Thorn directly relates to the story of David and Goliath.
Bibletoons is an exciting and fun series that you and your little loved ones will come to cherish and read over and over for years to come!
It is so much fun creating stories that touch the hearts of children. Growing up in the country in the quaint town of Canastota, New York, I adored living with my parents and sister. Our eighteenth-century home that was the old Stagecoach Inn and a stop on the Underground Railroad, was the center of my universe.
Writing intrigued me at an early age. I let my imagination run wild with made-up stories and ones based on real-life experiences. I felt I could go anywhere I wanted through my thoughts. Although my parents are both with the Lord now, I often go back to the Canastota area to visit my sister and nephew. When I drive by the old house, the wonderful past memories resurface; and I am taken back to priceless days of love and laughter in a welcoming home up in the country that is so dear to my heart.
How does one put their life and dreams into a few sentences? My vast job experiences, Chairperson duties of church and community campaigns, numerous church positions, and love for writing have led me joyfully to a life I truly cherish¾worshiping God, loving and raising my two beautiful daughters, spending precious time with my sister and nephew, planning a wonderful and exciting future with my fiancé while enjoying his awesome family, spending playful time with our kitties (Sparkee, Calee, Gus, and Toulouse), designing websites through my company WorldHorizons Web, taking scenic photos, golfing, reading, and writing books.
Book Two is published! Visit the Miracle in Bethlehem page!
Book Three is published! Visit The Shepherd’s Sling page!
Book Four is in the end writing stage!
In the future, I would love to see Bibletoons in theaters, created into a cartoon series, on video and in toy stores! I envision Bibletoons being a household name someday and that my series will dwell in the hearts of children, as well as adults, for years to come, drawing them closer and closer to God and His teachings!”
